Black america

As all this criticism arises about Obama not catering to the black community and how he told the CBC to stop whining and complaining and start winning, I couldn’t help but write about it. Quite frankly I agree with President Obama and NO I did not have my Obama kool-aid today. Black america needs to stop thinking just because we have a “black’ President life for them would be 100% better. America is made up of black, white, latino, mexican, asian etc… So you still think he should just focus on black america? Many issues plaquing black america are our own. If unemployment is an issue and you haven’t been able to find work, guess what, you may need to get up and move. Our ancestors did it. How do you think they got up north and out west? Slave ships didn’t stop either of those places. Obama has to focus on the full spectrum. What will empower our race? We have to empower ourselves and fight to make life better for ourselves. Look at all the black people who are successful. What is stopping you from being just as successful? What is stopping you from taking that next leap of faith? Look at life outside the box and stop making everything black and white. A billionaire didn’t become one by complaining about the next man and not following his own dream. The world is your oyster. In the words of the late great  President Kennedy, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for you country.

I agree with you Bree!!!! Great post! It’s so easy to complain but hard to step out on faith and move outside our comfort zones. He is the President of the United States not President of the Black People alone! Most of the African American Heritage can be traced to Charleston, SC however we are spread all over this country because they knew that in order for their future children and grandchildren to have a life they had to up root!! Good Job on this one!!!
